Can’t keep anything down 23 weeks pregnant

I’m 23 weeks pregnant and suffered from debilitating nausea from around week 5 to week 18. I was only sick now and again and was able to eat and drink enough.

I became very nauseous last night and was very very sick for around 30 mins. I haven’t been interested in eating much today but have been drinking tea and water.

Ever since 7.30pm tonight I’ve been unable to keep anything down. I’ve been vomiting after even only one sip of water.

I’m not sure if it’s related but I’ve had a very tight/hard feeling uterus since around 8pm last night too and my stomach has been cramping.

Any advice would be much appreciated

If you still can’t keep anything down by the morning then you’ll probably be best going to a&e or calling the maternity unit for an IV to rehydrate. Plus always helps me feel much better for a couple of days. Hugs to you as dealing with this type of sickness myself at 13 weeks

Thank you, I’ll give them a call in the morning if it’s still not settled.

My post should read two nights ago I was very sick for 30 mins then last night at 7.30 the vomiting started again

This can be a sign of high blood pressure. Please get this checked

Thanks @Feelingvulnerable1992, I’m still being sick every 15-30 mins.

I called the maternity assessment unit and they told me to just keep taking sips of water (I told them this makes me sick within 15 mins) and to take paracetamol for the stomach tightening (I told them I have but vomited it up).

She told me to call my GP in the morning so will call when they open

Oh op I sympathise. I had a sickness bug at 24 weeks and was miserable. Could it be a sickness bug? If not - go to the maternity unit for some anti sickness and rehydration. I hope you feel better soon. Even try some ice lolly or ice to try rehydrate in the meantime.

Thank you @Mammma91, it’s awful isn’t it. I don’t know if it could be a sickness bug. I called the MAU and they weren’t interested. I do feel extremely dehydrated I haven’t kept any water down for well over 12 hours
