Hi all, currently 16 weeks pregnant and I’ve started to get headaches every day since last Friday, had my midwife appointment today and I was told it’s completely normal due to hormone changes, did anyone else experience this? They appear to be worse at night time. During me mad 😩😩

Try taking magnesium to help with headaches. I used to use the spray version. Also take Epsom salt baths. Hope you feel
better soon.

Oh I had this around 16-20 weeks. I found I had to take paracetamol a lot but it was defo worse when I needed a rest or something to eat

@sarahc336 thank you for your advise. How long did you have yours for? I do take paracetamol but they don’t really shift it. It’s very annoying. I haven’t had any at all until recently. Mine are worse when I wake up in the night x

I had this and completely sympathise with you, it’s awful. It started to stop when I was around 19/20 weeks but I found that using a scalp tension massager helped and paracetamol. Rest if you can as well, I know easier said than done but there will be an end to it.

@cosylife thank you! They have completely come out of nowhere since last Friday, been pretty much constant ever since. How long did yours last? X

Hey OP. Everyone is different so please don’t think you’re going to be the same as me but I’ve had headaches since 6-8 weeks and I’m now 22+6 and although they’ve eased off I still have one a week for a few days. I was given codeine and it didn’t shift them so just had to grin and bear it and take days off work just to lay in a dark room. It’s horrible I know. There is light at the end of the tunnel and it’ll all be worth it x

Hi mine did all of a sudden stop around 20 ish weeks I think, then they just went

Get your eyes tested. This is yet another thing that can change with pregnancy, so worth checking.

I used to have headaches at times during my pregnancy . But it relieved with fresh air and hydration.
