12 Week Scan Anxiety

Hi all

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow (have had 2 already due to various reasons) but I can’t shake the anxious feeling! It’s a mix of anxiety and excitement! In my head it’s just the fear something will be wrong. Is this kind of normal? I don’t think it helps a close friend lost hers really late into the pregnancy. It’s my first pregnancy too so it’s all new

Thanks all

Yes, nearly everyone gets scanxiety

It's hard to shake the anxiety. If you had extra scans already then I would hold onto those as reassurance. Of course no one can predict what will happen but if you had scans already then the odds are very much in your favour.
Best of luck for tomorrow x

Thought I’d update.
Everything was fine Tuesday - apart from baby being very camera shy 🙈

Managed to get a good picture eventually ❤️

Just come across this thread with my 12 week scan in 2 days! So glad everything was fine. I haven't been anxious until now... trying to tell myself it's excitement not nerves!

The dreaded scan-anxiety - this is how I feel before every single scan!

Good luck for tomorrow

Just realised this is a zombie thread!

Don’t think it hurts to resuscitate it - it’s always so relevant!

Got my dating scan Thursdays and I’m just dreading it. Second pregnancy, had a MMC before DS … I dont think the fear ever leaves you.
