Hi everyone, currently 8 weeks and in the midst of nausea and sickness hell. Is anyone else on this pain train with me?

I have a nearly 3 year old DS who I also had terrible sickness and nausea with, but didn’t realise just how much my brain had blanked the extent of the horror out!

Im a nursery teacher and have been signed off work for the last 3 weeks with no end in sight. With DS I think I started to improve around 10 weeks and by 13 weeks felt good again. I’m hoping it’s the same by it feels utterly endless.

Have an early scan booked for Saturday so hopefully I’ll be reminded that it’ll all be worth it but in the meantime, does anyone have any lesser known tips or tricks? I have stemitil and cyclezine and they don’t do much! Getting desperate!

No medication for me lol i went from 7 and a half weeks to just over 9 weeks with really bad nausea! It put me off my food multiple times, which makes me sad being a foodie!😅

I just ate ginger biscuits, ice cream, ice lollies, salted crackers and kept sipping water. Im now 10 weeks and all i struggle with now is dry heaving!

My sickness started at 5 1/2 weeks with multiple tips to a&e for IV’s as I was so dehydrated. Weeks 8 and 10 were the absolute worst hell weeks for me so you’re in the thick of it right now. Currently 13 weeks and had a really good week until today with multiple vomit sessions and all day nausea again 🙄 but hoping it’s just a bad day and stays at a day. Sickness didn’t stop until 20 weeks with my son and like you I completely forgot what hell it is! This is for sure my very last baby! Hang in there it does get better.

You need ondansatron my love. Hope you feel better soon and please ignore the 'try ginger' brigade. They haven't got a fucking clue how bad it can be

The ginger brigade comment was quite unnecessary, every pregnancy is different, some suffer with HG. Which is worse than just normal sickness, others dont have HG and do try things like ginger to subside the feeling. It doesnt last long and does come back with a vengence, but in my comment i was saying everything i was eating to try and make it subside. Really sorry us that try ginger 'dont have a fucking clue' and arent experiencing the same level of sickness as you.
