we’ve been going through iui for the past 5 months unexpectedly found out I was pregnant on Tuesday. I had what I thought was my period on 1st March (heavy bleeding with one massive clot) originally went to the doctors for a uti as I was brown spotting at the time who did a pregnancy test too uti came back clear but pregnancy was positive. I’ve since had hcg test which was 1014 and awaiting my second blood test which was done Thursday. Since then my bleeding seems to be getting heavier and I’m a little bit crampy down there. It’s more of a dull ache where my pubes are sometimes it’s a cramp down one side. EPU have been rubbish I’ve been ringing for the past 2 days for my results they keep saying someone will call ended up losing my temper last night and saying I just want to know if im miscarrying. Turns out they’ve lost my bloods but they’re trying to locate them why they just couldn’t be honest in the first place I don’t know!

anyway I’m convinced I’m having a miscarriage and just wanted to hear if anyone has had heavier bleeding and cramping and everything’s been fine. I know it’s 50/50 but it’s been a gruelling 6 years of infertility and 5 months of non stop treatment so I’m feeling really low.

Also I’m very confused as to how far along I actually am. My last period before insemination was 1st feb, I was inseminated 17th feb but then had this weird bleed (thought it was a period) 1st march. My brain is frazzled

It could be a subchorionic hematoma? I think more common with iui. I was crampy my whole first trimester really. Can you book a private scan?

Thank you for your reply I’m currently laying in the hospital after surgery I had a ruptured ectopic so that wasn’t good. Just waiting to see how much damage it’s actually done now xx

Oh my gosh how scary for you… you must feel very disappointed however I hope you can see the positive that your body did manage to get pregnant - hopefully next time it’ll be a successful pregnancy for you. Sending love x
