Hi all,

I'm fully aware I'm probably being silly but haven't felt baby in a couple of days. I do have an anterior placenta but I had started feeling him wriggle and kick regularly from 20 weeks consistently. 2 nights ago had the biggest movement I've felt so far - a proper boot/thud and now nothing since. Can't help worry. Anyone else had similar and all ok? Can't remember this with my first who was also anterior placenta.

I have text my midwife and she's asked me to pop in to her clinic this morning so that's great hopefully have some reassurance x

Yep around the same time. Same placenta issue too. Midwife checked on the Doppler and all was ok, they said the baby is so small at this point that they can easily get a bit lost behind the placenta when they move into a new position, meaning you suddenly can’t feel them. But they also said to go in anytime so it was reassuring and you’re doing the right thing going to see your midwife.

The big movement was probably baby changing position, hence you no longer feeling the movements. 22 weeks is still early, some mums haven't felt baby at all yet, especially with an anterior placenta! I'm sure all is fine

All good 😊 baby has done a big turn and is now back to back with arms and legs right behind placenta! Previously he was transverse so I was getting side kicks! So lucky we have access to such good maternity care to put our minds at ease I've spent all night worrying 🙈🙈🙈🙈
