Periods after miscarriage

I had a MMC beginning of January with surgical procedure. I’m on my second period since, both periods after the miscarriage were extremely light!! Where I’ll have a flow with cramps at day 1 but after barely nothing! A 1 day period with three days of basically spotting, I could get away with wearing a party liner all day. This is strange for me as before the pregnancy my periods lasted about 5 days with the first three days being a strong flow. Is this normal?? I hope I am ovulating as I would like to try to get pregnant again soon as!

My periods have changed since miscarriage (surgical)/ childbirth. I seem to be lighter every other period, I've always been fairly light though so its not a dramatic change. I've managed to concieve twice since this (one ended in MMC, one I'm pregnant with now and seems to be growing healthy).
I think as its quite a big change for you there is no harm talking to your doctor about it. Or you could TTC for 6 months and if it's still concerning you you could talk to your doctor at that point.

I think it's normal for periods to be a bit disrupted. Did you do a pregnancy test 2-3 weeks after the procedure?

Yes, all negative. Even had MRI scan on pelvis for different reason. So everything is good in the uterus they said. Just really strange on my second period now and only needed to wear a pad for one day.. after that could got away with a panty liner!

Thank you for the response. Before my miscarriage my period would have a good flow for three days, so going down to one day now is quite dramatic for me 😅 I hope all is okay! From this cycle we will TTC so let’s see 🤞🏼

This isn't beyond the realms of possibility but equally this can signal a problem with your uterus lining. Go back to your GP and flag this as you wish to become pregnant. Surgical treatment for MMC has a risk of Asherman's that I feel is massively underestimated. Good luck TTC I hope all is not a problem in the end!
