Pelvic pain- will it stop?

I've had mild pain in pelvis/uterus since conception. I'm now 11 weeks. Should I expect this to continue through the whole pregnancy? It's not too painful but slightly irritating.

Ask to send off a urine sample. It's probably too early for pgp or round ligament pains so could be a urine infection

Have done urine sample at booking appointment and all good. Midwife and sonographer both said it was just uterus expanding.

The dip test isn't as accurate as sending to the lab - do you have any other symptoms like frequent weeing/urgency etc?

The expanding uterus thing usually isn't sore till 2nd trimester... maybe unless you have a previous c section scar that's being stretched?

@Mumoftwo1312 I've had tests sent to labs. I've had full blood work. I've no other symptoms and have had two medical professionals tell me it's normal first trimester. I'm just asking if it'll continue into second

It’s a different kind of pain. The discomfort you feel now in your first trimester is probably just your body adjusting, it’s not your baby as at 11 weeks your baby is about 4cm.

The pelvic pain/PGP you can get later in pregnancy is very very different to this discomfort.

This discomfort should go away but obviously you may then find in your third trimester you do start to have pelvic pain again!

guessmyage11 · 13/03/2024 16:43

It's absolutely normal as long as it's not severe? It's everting stretching out xx

Hostilehabitat · 13/03/2024 17:55

Does it feel like period pain? That is normal and stopped for me after the first trimester. Then I got round ligament pain and now pgp but all the pains are different!

Sara1988 · 13/03/2024 18:08

@Hostilehabitat kind of but milder and comes and goes... more like twinges.

It went away for a few days, which made me worry, and now it's back, which had also made me worry! Seems either way I'll worry.

I’m 27 weeks and my pelvis is so sore. Mainly when I first get up from sitting down but I feel like I’m walking like I’m 80!
