Cervix pain at 29 weeks

Hi, has anyone ever had a constant pain in their extremely low abdomen/cervix area that doesn't ease?

It came on yesterday and has never left. During the night it got so bad and I was having really intense waves of feeling like it was tightening. Not through my bump, just really low down under it.

I rang the hospital and the midwife I spoke to first told me it didn't sound pregnancy related. Then after I asked what else it could be related to she changed her mind just told me it sounded like ligament pain and just to take regular paracetamol. She made me feel like I was wasting her time if I went into get checked out so I just persevered and got some on off sleep. Paracetamol don't ease it at all. I took them all day yesterday.

I do understand that ligament pain is a thing but this literally feels like someone has a knife in my cervix every time I move. I'm literally stuck in bed and can't stand/walk without pain. If anyone has experienced this and has tips on how to ease it, I'll be forever grateful!

It sounds like fanny daggers. Keep moving, it’s everything stretching.

Is baby moving as normal?

Regardless i would ring again , if they cant help you, i would go to A&E

Yeah I can still feel her moving, just lower down than usual I would say. I had read about lightening crotch but it seems like that comes and goes randomly? This is literally a constant pain that gets worse when I try and move.

Could it be appendix ?

Hun just go and get checked out. Even without pregnancy that kind of pain can be worrying and you would be visiting A&E anyway I guess.
visit your local maternity triage unit, I was advised that they’re open 24/7 and just to come in if something is worrying.
I hope the pain is eases off soon for you🫶🏻

I've been in touch with the maternity unit again and they now think it might be pain caused by a large fibroid I have.

I luckily have an appointment with my consultant tomorrow for a scan on the fibroid. Just have to get through another night of pain first 😒
