Hey everyone. I’m so scared for my 20 week scan in a couple of days time. Worried what if something gone massively wrong eg the babies heart has stopped.
im 19+5 and still not felt movement. I had a private scan at 16+2 everything was growing & developing normally, and I have a posterior placenta. I guess I’m just a bundle of anxiety :-(

I was the same. Almost didn't go for the scan. He's 19 now.

It’s completely understandable to be nervous. It’s also not remotely unusual to have not felt your baby move before three 20 weeks scan especially if it is your first baby and / or you have an anterior placenta.

try to relax and stay calm especially since you’ve had the dating scan and a private scan since.
Hope your scan goes well next week!

Don't worry it's normal to feel like this, I was the same. Chances are all is fine though, especially if things looked good at 16 weeks. I don't think I felt movement until closer to 21/22 weeks so I wouldn't worry about that, it's still early.

It’s completely normal to feel scan anxiety, Im an IVF pregnancy so have had numerous scans both private and NHS and they never get easier, I have my last scan next Friday and will be 38+2 and it still frightens me every time.
I didn’t feel baby until 20+6 and it was literally about 3 little movements, I wasn’t even sure if it was a movement or wind at the time.
It didnt become clear until just after 23 weeks.
Try to enjoy it, all the best for the rest of your pregnancy :)
