Hi,

I've had a very stressful time recently, my husband has quite suddenly become very mentally unstable and ill to the point I've had to move back in with my mum with my two year old.

I'm 15 weeks pregnant, and recently started getting bad back pain and my bump aches. I'm worried the stress is causing me to lose the baby.

I'm no longer in my home town or even in the same county so I'm quite stressed about this all and not sure what to do.

@Fawklight what a stressful situation for you - I'm so sorry you're going through this. I'm currently 17wks myself and would say that back and bump pain are very normal aspects of pregnancy at this gestation with everything stretching etc. I had a few days of bad back pain around 14wks and was really worried I was miscarrying but all was fine. I imagine with all your added stress and anxiety it's just making you fear the worst.

I'm not quite sure how it works but obviously mums-to-be move all the time. Have you tried to ring the local pregnancy assessment unit/community midwife team to explain your situation? Surely someone would see you? Will you be registering with a local GP while you're at your Mum's? Maybe try and sort that asap and then follow-up with them?

Wishing you all the best and I hope your husband gets the help he needs too 😔💗

@SnookyPook thank you.

I'll be registered with a GP soon, and the midwives need to get their website sorted as it's only an online form to fill in.

I'm having an assessment with the permental health team so to see if the can help with trauma.

@Fawklight great that MH support team are getting involved. Hopefully they will be able to provide you with the support you need. Once you're all registered in the local area it'll be one less thing weighing on you at least. 💗

I'm 14 weeks and do have back pain daily and have had occasional bump pain too, both at the bottom and on top of the bump. I guess everything is stretching and is normal from I have read.

Sorry to hear you're going through such a hard time. Get yourself checked for peace of mind. Sending you virtual hugs.
