Can sex be determined after 24 weeks scan

Currently 21 weeks and had planned on doing a scan around 30 weeks but my clinic specifies the 'gender scan' is up until 24 weeks. Can it not be determined after this date?
The only explanation I can think of is baby is large and more compact and squished in uterus and maybe difficult to check the sex? Anyone any ideas on this

I had an NHS scan at 32 weeks and asked them to double check DD was a girl (had found out at 20 weeks) because a friend had just given birth to a baby which was a girl at her 20 week scan but turned out to be a boy! They confirmed DD was indeed a girl so they must be able to tell even later on.

I’m assuming you’re not Uk based from the post but yea you can still determine sex from that point forward

I had many growth scans, you can 100% tell. In fact they struggled to get some readings once because he kept flicking his bits in the way 😂😂

Exactly as you thought: As your pregnancy progresses there is less and less room for the baby to move around and this can sometimes limit the views available. You may be lucky and baby will be in a "favourable" position or unfortunately not.
