Banding for Piles during Pregnancy

I developed bad piles during my last pregnancy and was referred to the banding clinic at the hospital 14 months ago. I have just phoned up to see where things are up to and was advised I am now near the top of the waiting list and would be in the next wave of appointment. How long that will be is anyone's guess but I was wondering if they can still do this procedure when you are pregnant? We have been waiting to TTC baby 2 until I had this procedure and were hoping to start trying in the next couple of months. What is the general guidance on this? Thanks.

Are you having a camera test and then banding of piles or are you going straight to having a proctoscopy done

I'm not sure tbh, does it make a difference either way? Thanks

If you’re having a flexi sig , bowel prep is often involved which can often have contra/indications .
you’re best option is asking the consultants secretary to send a note to the consultant indicating you’re pregnant and let the consultant decide if it’s best to proceed or defer till after pregnancy
