I'm 26 weeks pregnant, and for the last 3 months i have had a CONSTANT frog in my throat! Every 10 minutes im having to cough to clear it and its so annoying, plus very embarrassing at work! Is this something anyone else has suffered with? And are there any cures?!😅I also have a very blocked nose...but no cold?

It's coming from your sinuses so you need to start clearing them get a salt water sinus rinse and use a couple of times a day if you can maybe morning and night .

Google globus. It can be linked to silent reflux. Very annoying. Pay attention to when its worse/or better and if any food effect it.

YES! I am nearly 10 weeks pregnant and suffering with the same thing, I read that dairy makes it worse?!
I constantly have to clear my throat and spit it out, it’s not green or anything, just clear phlegm!!! Gross!! Never had this with my daughter!

Omg! Yes! I'm 32 weeks and have had this since the 10 week mark!!! Constantly!!!

Grateful to the PPs who have come in with advice, I thought I was going crazy!!

Hi @Jaz92 I am 20 weeks pregnant and have been suffering from excessive phlegm in throat for weeks now. It’s absolutely awful, I am constantly spitting it up but it reappears immediately! I have searched and searched on mumsnet but doesn’t seem like anything is helping. I really hope it goes as it is such an awful symptom.

I’ve got this atm at 10 weeks pregnant.

this morning was the first time I coughed it up and it made me throw up (I think it’s purely because it’s so vile, not because I’ve suddenly developed morning sickness).

i am totally off tea because usually with a cold I’d nurse with a hot drink and hope it breaks it down but can’t do that. And no hot baths!! I don’t know what to do to fix it 😭

It’s pregnancy rhinitis probably - I have the same and it sucks. Caused by hormones and there’s nothing much you can do about it. Apparently it should clear up after the birth!

@CSSL7 so sorry you're experiencing this. It's the worst symptom I've had in both pregnancies. It didn't help that I had a sinus infection and then got a bad flu as that definitely made it worse. Honestly nothing helped it for me but I think the last 10 -12 weeks of pregnancy, it seemed to ease as I didn't find myself needing to spit up mucus. Hopefully it will clear for you soon. Good luck with it all - you will get through it! 🙏🏻 xx
