5 Weeks, Light Bleeding, Slight Drop in HCG

Hi all. I'm 5 weeks 4 days pregnant via IVF, and have been very slightly bleeding for 5 days. Blood test results show strong HCG levels on Friday and a very slight drop on Monday. I've had zero cramps or clots. I know there are a lot of signs of early miscarriage here, but also... could it be something else?

It could be a hematoma. I bled like that with my first, and on and off throughout my whole pregnancy - very stressful!
With my second I only had spotting for 2/3 days which I guess was implantation bleeding. 1/3 women will bleed in pregnancy, my fertility specialist told me. Good luck!

As pp said it could be a haemotoma, i was told I had a small one at an early scan and that it may bleed on and off so nothing necessarily wrong there. However ive not heard of an alternative explanation for declining hcg. Did the clinic say what next steps are there? Do they want to check it again?

Next steps are to test bloods again in case it was a blip. I'm going in tomorrow, results will be Thursday. Then they want me in for a 6 week scan on Monday. I'm just praying it's something else, I've already had one miscarriage and I don't know how much more IVF we can afford :(

I'm so sorry you are going through all this stress. Thinking of you and really hope this has a positive outcome x

They've brought my scan forward to this Friday. At least I'll have an answer before the weekend I guess!
