Mattress covers and sheets

Hi all
sorry if this might seem obvious but as a ftm not sure what’s right or wrong with mattress covers? We have a mamas and papas cot bed mattress that has its own cover and we’ve brought an additional waterproof mattress cover and fitted sheets. Is it ok to cover the mattress with both the waterproof mattress cover and fitted sheet? Or should it just one or the other given the mattress has its own zipped cover?

Also ftm so haven't a clue, but I did the same as you and put a mattress protector and sheet on top of the mattress zippy cover

Yes, it’s fine to have a waterproof sheet underneath. Just ensure the fitted sheet fits well (i.e. is tight).

Yes, the zippered mattress cover we had wasn't waterproof, so we had that, a mattress protector and a fitted sheet
