I just wondered if anyone else had this. I’ve looked up round ligament pain but it’s not that because it’s in the wrong place.

Since 9.5 weeks, if I cough, sit up, sneeze etc, I can feel it in a central band below my bellow button. You know how you used to get sore muscles after you’d been to the gym, it feels like that. As though I’ve pulled a muscle and when I cough or move in a certain way, it pulls on it.

It’s definitely not on one side or the other so I can’t see how it’s the round ligaments - also as this started at 9.5 weeks it’s too soon for that anyway?

Stupidly I googled and and page said it could be a sign of a MMC. ☹️ Would appreciate any reassurance. Thank you.

My round ligament pain started very early with both pregnancies and was just like you described. It wasn't one side or the other, it seemed to be all over.

It could just be that you have pulled a muscle though!

Ha I’ve definitely not been doing any kind of activity where I could pull a muscle! 😁

Ah that’s interesting then. I hope it is that instead of something more scary!

@Pink3849 Everything is looser during pregnancy due to a hormone called 'relaxin' so you can pull a muscle FAR more easily when pregnant. A cough or sneeze could do it.

@Pink3849 I agree with @TheBirdintheCave. Also, I've had a MMC and never had any pain like what you're describing. I think most likely is just everything around your womb beginning to relax and expand. 💕

@Pink3849 I had exactly this and am now 37 weeks! It didn't last long, definitely went in second trimester.

Dr Google is an arse. Enjoy your pregnancy 💜

I had this too, exactly as you've described. It is disconcerting but try not to panic!
