Sarah Chapman cleanser - safe despite vit A?

I recently bought this Sarah Chapman cleanser and absolutely adore it https://www.sarahchapman.com/products/ultimate-cleanse. I used it a few nights in a row then looked at the ingredients list and saw that it contains some Vitamin A. It’s quite low in the list so I assume the concentration must be really low but I can’t help but wonder if it might be harmful. On the FAQs on their site it says their vit A products are safe to use in pregnancy but I’m still on the fence. What would you do?

I’d use a cleanser because surely you wash it off? I think serums are more risky as they sit on your skin

I read up about this in my last pregnancy and it seems that given it's a topical wash - not ingested - and the quantity is very low, it doesn't pose any significant risk. If it were a prescription retinol type treatment there might be an argument to stop using it.

Thank you for your replies. That’s kind of what I thought but the extra reassurance helps!

If you’re worried then surely it makes sense not to take the risk, it’s only a cleanser it won’t do you any harm to do without it until post-birth so if you think there could be a risk to your unborn baby then not using it for a few months would be a no-brainer for me.
