Im nearly 6 weeks preggo and previously had a miscarriage at 6 weeks. Ive been having some discomfort on my left side. Its lower and also my stomach just feels so heavy and stiff especially under my rib. Its been a few days now and it doesnt seem to be worsening but i seem to also be severely constipated. My minds driving me crazy thinking its an ectopic. I have a scan on Monday but i can help but be worried. Any women had similar experiences :(

I’m sorry for your previous loss. That’s bound to make you feel even more anxious this time around.
I had a lot of discomfort with both my pregnancies. It felt like constant cramping, sometimes at one particular side and sometimes my full stomach. My midwife said as long as it wasn’t bad enough I needed to phone triage and wasn’t accompanied by bleeding then it should be okay. It’s mainly your body getting ready.
Being constipated will also make you feel pretty lousy.

Id suggest trying to keep yourself busy to try keep your mind off it and make the next few days fly in!

I'm 8 weeks. Have had pain nearly every day since ovulation. Mainly on the left. Had a scan yesterday and all is well. Sonographer said it's quite common and unless it's sever nothing to worry about.

It can be a cyst on your ovary that accompanies pregnancy.. I had this with both of mine. Best to get it checked of course

Week 5 -6 I had pains everywhere, sitting, laying, moving..front, back, side, inside vagina..you name it. One of the ladies mentioned it can be the cyst from the ovulating ovary. That I think is quite possible because I had prevalent aches on my right ovary during the first few weeks and I ovulated from the right ovary when the baby was conceived.
constipation is a symptom of pregnancy, be ready to be constipated for like forever. I’m entering second trimester now and still constipated. My friend who gave birth recently said to be prepared for more or less 9 months of constipation.
The cramps and aches will be happening, due to hormones and your uterus expanding. I know it’s scary at the start but in a few weeks you’ll get used to it.
Good luck!
