Badger Notes lack of info

So I have the Badger app which seems ok at telling me when appointments are. However I have no details at all of results of scans or measurements it just states 'this scan is not published' I had a couple of extra scans with fetal medicine because they thought baby had talipes (she doesn't) but again the dates are there but no other info. Is this the norm? My sister's had paper notes and had a lot more info.

I guess it depends on who is inputting the info and
if they’ve decided to share to badger notes.
My app gives me my test results and scan sizes but nothing else really. My last pregnancy all my info disappeared so I contacted my midwife who got it updated correctly.

Thanks you would think it would be procedure to input a certain amount of information. Even normal measurements seen or something is better than nothing at all. I'll ask at my next midwife appointment but doubt it'll be seen as a priority I was just curious as to whether it's a common theme or just to my NHS trust.

With my last pregnancy they used to post everything on there…now they don’t post anything. Not sure if it’s the midwife or a change of policy, but it’s frustrating!

Hi,
We had additional scans during our pregnancy but they weren’t published on Badger Notes as we received paper copies of the reports when having the scans - did you receive those too?

JRTfan · 27/02/2024 09:03

@JaffaCakes197 no didn't get anything.
The scans are posted in that the dates are listed but it just states not published underneath.
I keep getting people telling me I'm tiny for 23 weeks so wanted to see where the measurements were on last scan just for reassurance. I know if there were concerns they'd have said but just feel like we are in the dark.

I know it’s easy for me to say but try not to worry too much about people telling you you’re tiny. I was told that with my first pregnancy- I definitely didn’t feel tiny! My baby was measuring over the 97th percentile throughout my pregnancy and was not a tiny baby. Just people kept saying I was carrying very neat and had a small bump. I’m pretty sure they were saying it to be kind 😂

Badgernet is shit.

No scan info on mine, but all appointments are on there, I did tell them a few weeks ago that I couldn’t see things properly. But a change of midwifes was a massive improvement, in more ways that just this app!!

JRTfan · 27/02/2024 11:37

Thank you @Hiddenvoice that is reassuring I'm not overly worried as I trust the professionals over Judith in accounts 🤣 But it would be good to see the info for myself.
@Elphamouche I haven't seen the same midwife twice and believe the one assigned to me has left so will have a different one again at my 25 week appointment..I'll mention it to her but not holding my breath.
They must have to type up the results and measurements so you'd think it would be a press of a button to transfer that to the app but it's obviously not that simple.
I had to give my 12 week blood test results to the midwife to enter in the system because they don't have access to them apparently. The NHS is interesting to see the least!

@JRTfan oh how strange! My badger notes is the same but they gave us a printout on the day so I was hoping you would have had the same!

As another poster has said, it’s difficult but try to ignore people commenting on your bump! Every bump is completely unique and your body will grow the baby to fit you!

My sister in law was tiny during pregnancy and still produced a 9 pounder and I had so many comments about how big I was and my little boy was 7lbs!

UpUpUpU · 27/02/2024 20:53

It is literally down to ticking a box that says "publish to badger notes", at least on the midwifery side of things. I would imagine it is similar on the scan side but they have probably never been shown or told to do this.

mummyh2016 · 27/02/2024 21:04

It will be whoever needs to submit the data. Me and my SIL were pregnant at the same time, under the same midwives but we had different named midwives. I could see way more on my app than she could.

Elphamouche · 28/02/2024 00:19

@JRTfan Sorry I meant I completely changed midwives, as in changed the town I was under completely. They’re so much better.
