Cautiously starting this thread...

By LMP my due date is 2nd November but I think I ovulated a bit earlier. This would be my third baby but I'm trying not to be too hopeful as I've had 3 miscarriages before (the latest one being a loss at 18 weeks back in July). I've had some spotting but I have been taking progesterone and aspirin since I got my BFP so fingers crossed! I booked an early scan for a week on Tuesday which should hopefully be far enough along to see if there is anything growing.

Hey!
Got my BFP yesterday 🥳 should be due 5th Nov by my dates but my periods are so irregular it could be anywhere haha!
Had my first and hopefully only miscarriage in October so abit worried about it all but got everything crossed 🤞🏻

Hey! Pregnancy after miscarriage is so worrying. Do you have any symptoms yet? I haven't really had any nausea but I'm super tired. I want to feel nauseous as my successful pregnancies I've felt more sick than my miscarriages but also I hate the feeling so much.

I only took a test as I was getting niggly headaches everyday. Didn't expect to see a 2nd line at all haha!
Think symptoms may start in a few weeks, by my dates I haven't even reached 4 weeks yet.

Going to take each day as it comes and try my very best to not worry so much but it's hard 🥺

Hello I got my BFP yesterday, I had a miscarriage at 20 weeks last year so feel very anxious, any little ache or twinge worries me.
how did you book an early scan is this private or via the nhs? X

Hi 👋
Got a positive test last night, due date 4th November. It’s my first pregnancy. I don’t even know why I did a test, I never test before my due date, but just had a niggly feeling!

@RainbowRedPanda huge congratulations!! Can I ask how you got the progesterone and aspirin? I've experienced (early) misscariages too and have recently read about progesterone and aspirin but my GP is not prescribing it. Is there a different route to get it? I am 5dpo today so I am hoping this will be the month!

@N1sh4 it's a private scan I booked. From what I've heard though your EPU will scan you early if you're worried. I'm so sorry about your loss, hopefully your EPU will be able to reassure you.

@Nameday sorry, I should have mentioned I'm not in the UK (British hence why I'm on Mumsnet but I live overseas). Where I live you can just buy progesterone pills from a pharmacist. It baffles me that you can't do the same in the UK tbh, you can buy so many things with way more side effects than a simple progesterone pill. So sorry about your losses. Have you had bleeding this pregnancy? I'm not sure what the NICE guidelines say but the PRISM study showed that progesterone reduces miscarriage risk in women who have miscarried before and are having bleeding in a current pregnancy. I don't believe it looked at the effects of progesterone in women who've miscarried before but aren't bleeding now.

The aspirin you can buy from a pharmacy. I've previously been given full strength aspirin tablets by my Dr and told to cut them in quarters but of course it's easier if you get the "baby aspirin" and can just take a full pill.
