I miss being pregnant because everything tasted so good

I'm not sure if it's related to this phenomenon, but I had GD in my pregnancy which wasn't spotted until I was 30 weeks pregnant.

Food tasted AMAZING. I loved eating so many things. I had to curtail my diet significantly and kept a running list of things I was looking forward to eating once I was no longer pregnant - but now nothing tastes as good as I remember!

Did this happen to anyone else?

Yes haha. Anything with sugar/fruit was absolutely delicious. I remember I went to California and gorged myself silly on melon/mango etc. Otoh I couldn't stand meat at all. I was basically a fruitarian for nine months!

No things have just tasted weird and aversions through out 😂 be glad when it’s over

Yep! I'd always liked chocolate but while pregnant, eating it (bars, cakes, boxes, anything chocolate!) was euphoric

Yes! I've had this this pregnancy. The simple act of drinking a decaf coffee with a flavoured syrup and cream on top- something I found too sweet before- is deeply satisfying in a way I've not experienced and is now a favourite treat. Or a plate of lasagne, or a bowl of cereal.

I'll miss that. I expect my body's insulin response won't! (Did a gd test Monday and don't have it...but only by about 0.2 nmol/l. Lol
