4+5 is still very early (especially if ovulation was late and she's actually less than that). You have to wait a week or two and have another scan.

With one pregnancy I had to wait until I was about 8 weeks before we were sure it wasn't progressing.

Usually it goes from the start of LMP, so the first day she l bled, however it could be that she is still very early. As ovulstion takes place 2 weeks later.
So she may be around 2 weeks. Theres still hope and theres still a chance it could just be shes very early.

Id have thought the nhs was a little better at explaining this too, considering she went for a scan!

They like to set the bar low in pregnancy clearly which is pretty sad to say.

If you go back in around 2 weeks it should show growth! Good luck to you both and congratulations

She needs follow up bloods to see if levels are rising. If no sac was found, did they mention the possibility of an ectopic? I had this and my bloods were of a similar level. It’s important to get that second blood test done. What did the doctor say was the follow up plan?

He said 3 possibility

  1. maybe I conceived late so levels are still low
  2. no growth of baby (fertilization was touch and go)
  3. etopic pregnancy in which we have to terminate it with injection

Did you get the second bloods?

Is there a possibility of ectopic pregancy, event though HCG levls rising?

Could be, mine rose with an ectopic. The doctor will guide you and recommend the best course of action. I hope you get the answers you need.

Yes it could still be ectopic even with rising levels. General advice is no earlier than 5+5 weeks for transvaginal as you won't see a heartbeat before so if you think she may be just early, I'd shoot for 6+3 to be safe.
