After 20 week scan, can they find a genetic anomaly?

We've lost three babies before, and today thank god the 20 week scan went all good, but I don't know if I can finally calm a bit or not?
Was it the end of the fear that we have to terminate the pregnancy because of an illness?

Similar position here, 5mc and now 36 weeks. 20 weeks is a massive milestone, and yes theres a good amount of reassurance that you can get from it :) by now many anomalies have been ruled out. From experience, to be honest the fears will linger and it's just the reality of pregnancy after loss. My advice is to start practicing some coping mechanisms and finding ways to look after yourself. Hypnobirthing techniques, reflexology and acupuncture have helped me so much.

The probability of anything going wrong gets smaller throughout pregnancy but never goes away completely. The anomaly scan is a massive milestone. Anxiety in a pregnancy after loss is so hard and I really do send you my best wishes.

Massive milestone, as others have said. Most structural issues can be seen by then. Given your history I presume they took an extra close look making it more likely that any issues would have been spotted. Best wishes.
