Baby asprin and subchorionic hematoma

Hi

I had a big bleed from a Subchorionic hematoma at approx 12 weeks, I'm now 15 weeks and still spotting daily.

i have also been told by one doctor to take daily asprin due to a kidney condition and high blood pressure, but another doctor said not to take any while there is still blood. I need to start before 16 weeks for the asprin to be effective, so am running out of time and due to the conflicting advice, im scared of doing the wrong thing! Just wondering if anyone has been in the same position and what you did? Thanks

Didn't want to read and run, no experience of this but I would seek further guidance, try your gp and midwife and get it clarified so you can do the right thing.

This is not exactly the same, but I had injectable blood thinners and a subchoronic haematoma and I completed the full course of blood thinners, which was for the first 12 weeks. I was under consultant care and had IVF. My baby was born safe and well, however do double check with your midwife/consultant if you are worried.

It's because aspirin thins the blood and so can make the bleeding heavier. I was advised against using baby aspirin whilst bleeding also. But I'd say worth another qualified opinion on how safe it is to take even if you are still bleeding

i had big bleeds at 12w and 16w. My consultant prescribed some baby aspirin at our appointment at around 13-14w when I was still spotting brown after the bleed at 12w. When I mentioned my concerns about the aspirin she said that aspirin will do more good than harm at this point!? Anyway I continued to take it and at 16w I had another bleed which was massive but short leaved even the spotting stopped within few days? Nearly 19w now and I haven’t had any bleeds or spotting for good couple of weeks which I hope stays that way🤞
anyway there are lots of opinions out there and every dr is different, but I decided to trust my consultant and so far so good!
