What were your pregnancy cravings

What were your pregnancy cravings? What week did they start? And what was the gender of your baby?

With my baby boy it was chicken super noodles and salt and vinegar crisps! I was obsessed. My cravings didn't really start until the second trimester.

This just popped into my head because weirdly today I've had 3 cans of Fanta and I absolutely hate it! But I just wanted it lots today, so strange. My period isn't due for a week....

I just seen on TikTok someone said sponges! I never understood that but I know it's definitely a thing. I had a friend who craved the washing machine 😭

I also know someone who craved paint off the walls!!! Absolutely bizarre

I craved absolutely everything - all food in volume. I always used to joke to DH that there was no point asking me what I wanted for my dinner as he could have suggested anything and with about 6 mins I would have craved it- even brain on toast 😂

Jensbiscotti · 20/02/2024 00:53

Quavers and lolly ices or anything icey.

Babla · 20/02/2024 01:03

Steak, baked potatoes, home made soup

JLxx · 20/02/2024 01:26

At the beginning I was all for cereal, mash, beans and cheese. now in third trimester I am crazy for frozen grapes!!!!! Currently in bed salivating like a dog just thinking of them now

Morecurlywurly · 20/02/2024 01:37

Extra strong mints.

I’d check how many packets I had either in the morning or night before and if less than 10, I’d send dh out for the day’s supply !

HirplesWithHaggis · 20/02/2024 01:43

Orange Maid ice lollies. I don't even know if they're made any more (DS is 37) but no other frozen food would do. Fortunately at the time we lived immediately above an ice cream shop which was open til midnight, and the absolutely fantastic owners made sure to have lots of lollies in stock for me. Will always remember them fondly.

Mammma91 · 20/02/2024 01:50

Currently 33 weeks with my second boy & I’m craving ice lollies. No appetite just now, in the second trimester it was prawn cocktail crisps!

StepIntoMyOffice · 20/02/2024 02:19

I don't know if they were cravings or if I was just indulging myself but I consumed A LOT of chocolate raisins and orange capri-sun in the 2nd and 3rd trimester of my second pregnancy. Could barely eat a thing for the first 17 weeks thanks to severe nausea.

StepIntoMyOffice · 20/02/2024 02:20

No cravings at all in my first pregnancy - both boys.

bradpittsbathwater · 20/02/2024 02:28

Never had pregnancy cravings. I never thought it was a real thing tbh. Just something people said.

Ready4ActionRyderSir · 20/02/2024 02:31

Girl - Coca Cola (trimester 1), tomatoes, vinegar

Boy - Coca Cola (trimester 1), KFC/other chicken meals (trimester 1), ice (trimester 2), Dr Pepper (trimester 3).

Porfirio · 20/02/2024 02:32

First child I craved hot and spicy food and second child I craved fizzy drinks and sherbert.

theculture · 20/02/2024 02:37

Mugs of hot stock ( made from stock cubes) both girl pregnancies, mainly 2nd trimester

Quite bad morning sickness until 5 months or so both times as well 😬

caringcarer · 20/02/2024 03:42

Sadly Maltesers.

fr4zzledmum · 20/02/2024 06:16

Weirdly enough - lager. I wasn't a lager drinker before pregnancy but the thought of it and seeing others drink it genuinely made me drool. Thankfully, found that 0% alcohol Becks Blue really scratched the itch.

I actually found out that it was a sign of a B12 (folic acid) deficiency.

I'm currently onto my second pregnancy and no cravings yet (16 weeks).

preggo39 · 20/02/2024 13:39

First trimester: kebabs, McDonald's, salt and vinegar McCoys, pineapple juice. The thought of water made me feel sick.

Second trimester: went off food at the beginning and couldn't finish my meals (very unusual for me).

Third trimester: everything all the time.

Don't know the sex yet.

SilverSimca · 20/02/2024 13:49

Ice ice baby
Can't remember
Boy

Both times. So much ice. I had to crunch it slowly between my back teeth.

SquashPenguin · 20/02/2024 13:54

Ice. My fridge has a crushed ice dispenser and I love it 😆

Im 27 weeks now and I badly want cold fruit all the time. Cold grapes especially, but I found myself wanting a bag of lemon’s yesterday.

BouleDeSuif · 20/02/2024 13:57

Apples and watermelon, from five months ish. Girl.
Mostly I went off things, couldn't face meat or sauce of any kind, couldn't eat rice, pasta or garlic.

Glittering1 · 20/02/2024 14:01

DD1, orange juice and fruit
DD2, lucozade with ice, caramel nibbles
DS, meat and milk

I had pica on all three pregnancies and wanted to eat cement and lick tyres 😂 It's a mineral deficiency.

YourWinter · 20/02/2024 14:01

Salt, mainly crisps or crisp sandwiches but sometimes just salt crystals on buttered bread or crackers. Marmite too, though I was sick after a thick marmite sandwich and went off it for years. It was a summer pregnancy, second baby, and I put on a stone more than with my first, mainly water.

MarvellousMidgeMaisel · 20/02/2024 14:06

Dirty carrots- the more soil on them the better

Emmacb82 · 20/02/2024 14:14

DS1 toothpaste, had to be the purple Colgate one
DS2 polos, would literally have a panic if I ran out, would go through 3 packets a day
Now pregnant with a little girl, 28 weeks and have started craving mint humbugs! So definitely a mint theme with mine 🤣
