Hello,
So iv been trying to find a post that explains what I'm looking for and nothing seems to match so thought I would reach out on here..

I'm sorry for pictures attached but it's easier then explaining it.. 😩

I am now 6 weeks postpartum to a beautiful little man after having a c section on the 10/1 but still have not stopped bleeding.

I did pass a large clot just over a week PP but triage didn't seem interested when I phoned them.

It has calmed down now and again but still still blood every time I wipe.
Last week it was like just bloody stringy discharge 🤦‍♀️
I woke up this morning to full on bleeding again. I would think that maybe it's time for a period but this bleeding is different as it's containing small clots constantly.

Iv noticed over the last 2 weeks that after I wipe the smell is very strong also! I had a doctors appointment and she told me to just wait for my 6-8 week check up that I still have not had an appointment for.

Is this worth pushing for someone to check me over or do I just let it ride out? I just hope it's not some form of infection.

I am on tinsapol blood thinner injections for another week (6 weeks in total) which is not helping 😩

Thank you in advance

Sorry got no previous experience of this but have had 2 previous c sections and I never had this. I would definitely get seen. Were your periods heavy normally before? X

A strong smell usually means infection or possibly retained products. Even with c sections, this can happen. It's rare but does happen. As you are over 4 wks I think you need to ask for an urgent gp appt as after 4 wks you're discharged from maternity care.

If you have a fever even a low grade fever it could also be another sign of infection.

If you're concerned it may be best to give 111 a call and seek some proper medical advice.

Hope this is just a funky first pp period.

And congratulations on your new baby xx

Thank you for you time to respond to my post i appreciate it ❤️
my periods was nothing out the ordinary before very regular and only a few days at a time.
today it’s gone back to nothing but done some house work ect today so I’ll see how I am later on as when I’m up and about it doesn’t help it still after all these weeks 🤦‍♀️

thank you though ladies if still here tomorrow I will contact 111 just to check over but hopefully it is nothing 😊 xx

Another one here who had a c-section but didn't experience clots like that. I think you're well within your rights to push for an appointment, especially if there's a strong smell as well. We can't know - it's fair enough to get the doctors to take a look.
