Following from my last post my morning sickness has gotten a lot worse I'm around 9 weeks. And it's got to the point I can't close my eyes without my head spinning ! Managing to to keep biscuits down but can't eat a meal? Should I be worried I'm not eating proper meals ? I've called to ask for some medication so fingers crossed it helps xx

I'm a man but I knllgave been educated on this sort of morning sickness. Sounds like "hyperemesis gravidarum", severe morning sickness.
You should get hold of "cyclizine" which is a fantastic anti-nausea pill.

Wishing you well x

Yes go to doctors there are a number of different types of medication I ended up taking two different ones to keep things at bay. Acupuncture gave tiny relief too

I'm just coming out of the other side of this at 17+6!! It is horrendous!! My worst weeks were 9-13. I've been signed off work since Christmas time. Definitley start some medication, and get onto the pregnancy sickness support website for info about each medication (you'll often need to try more than one to find one that works - none worked for me sadly). Don't worry about what you're eating, the most important thing is to keep fluids down and calories..no matter where they come from! My baby has been fed on mostly mashed potatoes and digestive biscuits so far! Ice lollies are great for getting some fluid in. I really hope you get some relief soon

This sounds like it could be hyperemesis gravidarum. I had this with my pregnancy, couldn't keep water down for 20 weeks before being prescribed the right meds.
Your baby will be fine, you will be feeling vile, but your baby will be. My doctor told me that the baby will take everything it needs from your body reserves, they are essentially parasitic.
You should, however get something for the nausea. It's usually cyclizine first, I tried this for about 5 weeks, it didn't really work but I was so worried about the baby so didn't want to take anything else. I still couldn't keep much water down, especially if I got out of bed. Then went onto prochlorperazine buccal tablets (dissolve in the gums under the lip, because I would vomit any tablet I took) this worked a lot better, and I could actually eat on this medication but still had to stay in the bed all day. The best I felt was when I took a combination of both. You don't have to suffer, and there are other medicines out there, if the one you get doesn't work.

I sincerely hope you feel better. I now suffering from PTSD from my experience so believe me when I say I really, really do empathise with you. 🙏🏼

Oh I feel like I could have written this, I’m sorry you’re feeling terrible ❤️ I’m also 9 weeks, all day nausea and daily vomiting since 5 weeks. I finally contacted the doctors on Friday! I was really worried about the risks of taking medication, but reminded myself there is a risk of not taking it too (e.g. continue to feel sick, lose weight, feel miserable and isolated). I got prescribed cyclizine - I took it Sunday and was able to eat a proper meal! I also took it today and unfortunately was still sick 2 hours later so not quite a miracle cure. But I still feel less helpless as I feel I’ve got something new to try. I’m so so so hoping this stops/reduces at 12 weeks. I hope the medicine works for you!
