I’ve had a slightly uncomfortable pain in my stomach since last night and this morning I have woken up with a small amount of brownish blood in my knickers. When I wipe there is a very very slight tinge of brown.

Is this anything to worry about? I haven’t had sex or anything to bring this on

Have you felt your baby move yet? It is probably nothing but you should definitely get checked out as soon as possible. Can you call your midwife?

Thank you, I haven’t felt baby move yet. At my previous appointment my midwife said it is normal to not feel movement until up to 22 weeks. She said any issues to phone maternity assessment unit so I will give them a call

Good luck, hopefully they will see you quickly and can reassure you. Yes, I remember I didn't feel my first move for ages as she was my first and also anterior placenta.

I called the maternity assessment unit and they said it doesn’t sound like anything to worry about and could be caused by a number of things. They said it was up to me whether I attend or not.

I’ve not had any further bleeding/spotting so will keep an eye on how I feel and call back if I do decide to go
