40+2 today & still no signs of anything! 😫

41 weeks tomorrow and absolutely no signs. I'm so fed up the wait is awful :(

@Strawberry06 it's just so annoying isn't it!? Fully didn't expect to still be pregnant, longest I've ever carried! Midwife has booked me in for an induction on Monday if I haven't had her by then (which I still could decline as really don't want to have one!) What's plan for you hun? Have you had any stretch&sweeps or a cervix exam to see what's going on? x

Not me but just want to say my thoughts are with you. I'm 32 weeks and fed up!!

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX also booked in for induction on Monday and feel the same as you! Really don't want one. I'm toying with the idea of going straight for a section. It was booked for this Friday and they weren't gonna move it but after I burst into tears on the phone they did! Just want the weekend at least. I still have to go in Friday, Saturday and Sunday for monitoring.

I had a sweep Monday just gone but midwife said my cervix was still closed. I'm gonna ask for another sweep on Friday. Baby has been engaged for weeks too! It's so disheartening

Praying he'll come over the weekend if not sooner!

@Strawberry06 as a last resort I wouldnt go for a section straightaway if I was you hun as your body still has time to go spontaneously.. if it was an emergency then ofcoarse you would do.. Obviously little man is just comfy that's all 😊 inductions aren't too bad (only had 1 myself last year but that was due to big baby - i had GD & also extra fluid - polyhydraminos so was at risk of cord prolapse) went in at 37+1 and son didn't arrive until 37+5!! For me I just found out the process of induction draining, it was a waiting game but obviously my cervix/body wasn't ready that's all so in end had to be put on the hormone drip to kick start labour/contractions (managed with just gas & air) got put on that at about half11/midnight & son was born at just gone 3 in morning.. how come you have to go in for monitoring hun over weekend? x

It's the hospitals policy they don't want you going past 41 weeks which I will be hence the monitoring. I do wonder if I'm doing the right thing delaying the induction as the risk to baby increases after 41 weeks. I was in a right state on Monday about it all!

That's strange as my hospital policy don't like you to go past 41+5, hence why if little madam isn't here by Monday booked in for that day to start an induction(but midwife said I still have a right to decline) I will be 41weeks Monday.. how many weeks will you be on Monday yourself? Obviously it's your first baby so I understand all the stress & upset you must feel so far hun! hopefully for both of us we have our babies before Monday spontaneously 🤞 try not too worry to much or stress as it can work against your pregnancy hormones which help to bring on labour (easier said then done I know) as my own midwife as been telling me this for last few days! 🤣 I find I'm good at giving advice but not really good at listening to advice lol been told to rest aswell but it's hard when I have 4 kids to look after! x

@MummyTo4BoysXXXX I will be 41+4 on Monday. I went in today for CTG monitoring which was fine and they did another sweep but unsuccessful and no change in my cervix since my last sweep on Monday!

So I'm at the stage where I've just accepted I'm going to have to be induced on Monday now. Unless by some miracle he decides to come over the weekend.

Everything crossed for us both! 4 boys wow, surely that's a massive distraction?!
