Hello lovelies

I'm 7 weeks pregnant after a miscarriage in Nov where I lost the pregnancy at 6 weeks.

Since the last couple of days I've been getting a lot of fizzing in my stomach and the urge to release my bowels, although when I do it's not runny. I'm really worried that this is a bad sign as I wouldn't quite call it diarrhea, which I know is an early pregnancy symptom.

I get lots of cramps which come and go, but it's mainly like an IBS type of stomach ache. No bleeding or spotting but the pain is sometimes really uncomfortable.

Has anyone else experienced this and all has been OK?

I'm absolutely petrified that I'm going to miscarry again.

Thanks in advance xx

Never had diarrhea in either of my pregnancies and generally constipation is more a symptom of early pregnancy due to hormones. Diarrhea is more common as your body prepares for labour, that being said, every woman is different.

The on/off cramping would worry me more than your bowel changes but again, mild cramping in early pregnancy can be normal and is experienced by a lot of women

You could book an early scan if that's an option for you but other than that, it's wait and see.

If you have a an EPU/EGU at your local hospital, you could call them and see if they'll see you for an early scan - many will accept self-referrals from women who have had previous miscarriages.

Hi, I've commented today on an old post, 1st time posting so not really sure if I'm doing it right, I have some concerns as on 14th December I miscarried, had bleeding for 10 days

Then on 7th January 2024, I experienced sharp stomach and side pains, pain in my right breast, this all lasted a few minutes at this point no bleeding

January 9th, I had bleeding lasted 4 days I just assumed it was my period

Then on 23rd January till 27th January pinkish spotting just when wiped on loo roll

I'm sure I was due my period on 6th Feb, it never happened, done pregnancy test on 11th it was negative

Tuesday 13th, seems I have bleeding so we will see how long it lasts bit I had no signs of anything to come no cramps or anything
I'm really confused as to what's going on

Any comments would be great

Hiya,
I had a miscarriage a few years ago in December, was pregnant by the July. Second child. In both full term pregnancy's I experienced all kinds of digestive/bowels changes (fun! As you can imagine!)
I don't think it's a sign your pregnancy won't continue so try not to worry (so, so much easier said than done!). If you can, I'd advise trying to take your mind off your bodily changes/new sensations at this time. It'll only drive you mad and stress you out imo.
In my pregnancy after my miscarriage I was constantly anxious and watching out for bad signs, only really started to relax on it when o went for an early pregnancy scan (I actually did this at 7 weeks and 10 weeks).
Take care xx

Thanks so much that's really so reassuring. I'm going to stop panicking and take each day as it comes.
