Hello everyone,

Having a low day and anxious about my very light periods.

Does anyone have any success stories they can share?

Thanks so much in advance.

Hello,

Thought I would give some reassurance - I came off the pill in December 2022 and had very light periods since then, sometimes would only have a very light flow for a day or two which would then turn to spotting. Finally got pregnant after 10 months of trying. I was always really worried that my light periods were an issue, but goes to show that I was still able to get pregnant. Just wanted to provide some reassurance and a good outcome, as I know how worrying it can be.

Good luck :)

I was worried about this too. Both on the pill and when I came off I had very light periods - 2 days max. I had been on the pill since 17 (I’m 32 now). I also had previously received high Prolactin results which can affect fertility so I felt very nervous about trying. BUT, I got pregnant month 2 of trying. So many grey areas in fertility and one person’s experience is so different from another’s. However, have faith - it may take you longer than others, or it may happen quickly, regardless the odds are in your favour for getting there eventually

I have virtually non existent periods , they are literally a few spots
Had one natural pregnancy ( MC) and currently 18 weeks pregnant again ( via ivf this time )

I've had really light periods for years, I could probably have worn the same pad for my entire period and it wouldn't be full. (I never tested this for obvious reasons!)

It hasn't affected my fertility at all. I have one DD and currently pregnant with no.2. DD was a surprise and this one we got pregnant on first try.

So hopefully nothing for you to worry about, good luck OP!

Thank you SO much, already feeling loads better hearing this. Really helpful. I also posted on Pregnancy forum in case this wasn't the best place, and lots of positive responses there too.

For those of you who mention having been on the pill, did the they ever get heavier? Or just stayed light? Wondering if I just need to get used to this as my new normal
