Bleeding after transvaginal US yesterday - 7W 2days

I had an internal ultrasound yesterday morning, baby seen with heartbeat, I'm currently 7 weeks 2 days.

Today I had an upset stomach, and whilst on the toilet (sorry tmi!) I felt like a pop and when I wiped there was blood and a clot.

I don't have any cramping. I read about Sub chronic haematomas, but the sonographer didn't mentioned anything during the scan yesterday, so I don't think it's that. Could this much blood/size of blood clot just be irritation from the internal ultrasound? I have had a previous miscarriage and I'm really nervous it's happening again.

Does anyone else have any positive stories from similar situations? 🥺

I’ve had a transvaginal scan before and they’ve said there can be bleeding/ spotting after it. Did the sonographer mention anything about it?

I would contact your local epu and explain the situation. They might offer to scan you or they might ask you to monitor it and contact them again in a few days.
Hope you’re okay!

Thank you, I'm okay just trying to be rational, which is not in my DNA haha.
I just went for a wee and it's completely stopped and I have no cramping so I'm really hoping it just irritated my cervix or something!

I feel like we jinxed things because we told our immediate families today 🥺

It’s so hard to stay rational so don’t feel bad about it . I had bleeding/ spotting at 5-6 weeks and then again at 8-9 weeks. I was expecting the worst and just couldn’t relax but no one could find any reasons for it and I’m now in my final weeks of pregnancy so not all bleeding is bad!

see how you get on tonight, if you’re unsure then you could always contact your midwife to check in and see what they say!

Thank you so much. I had some spotting at 5 weeks too, pregnancy is such a wild ride!! Good luck for the birth of your baby! How exciting ❤️

Thank you! ❤️

Hopefully it’s just random, unexplained spotting that’s now stopped. Pregnancy is a rollercoaster and just when you think you can relax and enjoy it, something else springs up!
Try rest tonight, see how it is in the morning and then phone for some advice. No harm asking to get checked if you’re wanting some reassurance!

The pictures don't look like it is a sac. Hope it is going to be ok for you
