Mild one sided cramping

Hi all, I've just entered sixth week. Have had mild cramps since conception but currently they seem to be very much on one side. I know this can be a symptom of ectopic and I'm worried. It is very mild though. Has anyone had this?

@Sara1988 no experience with this but cramps are normal in themselves. I would just ring your EPU and ask for a scan, quickest way to ease your anxiety. Try not to worry and just ring them. If closed, ring the hospital and ask to be put through to Mat team. If you’re still worried or it gets worse, go to A&E and they should send you to be scanned.

I’m 5 weeks and have been having cramps, which I didn’t have with my first so it does worry me a bit. Mine are mostly on the right side, but I spoke to my mum who sadly had an ectopic and she said it was much more of a sharp pain, like more obvious that it’s something to worry about, rather than mild cramping.
However, to be on the safe side as everyone’s bodies are different, you can request a scan and tell them you’ve been having pains. I’m sure they won’t mind checking.
I remember with my first I went to get checked for reduced movements (obviously baby started kicking madly as soon as they started monitoring 🙄), and I felt like I was wasting their time, and the midwife said to me that they’d all much rather have their time wasted than someone miss something. So don’t ever be afraid to ask for help or reassurance.

@Richie23 @Sunandsea13 thank you both. I've become a little fixated on the idea of ectopic, so I'm worried I'm being silly or imagining it! The cramp are mild and I have no other symptoms but will call epu tomorrow.

So I didn't call epu as in the last 24 hours I've had mile cramping on left side, right side, both sides and middle. Think I'm just fixating on it when it's in one side.
