Requesting elective c-section @ Queen Charlottes & Chelsea

Hi all,

Does anyone have any experience with requesting an elective c-section at Queen Charlottes & Chelsea hospital? They have a page on their website about it so seems more friendly than other hospitals. Keen to her any and all experiences!

Yes, I’m having mine today! We were referred to fetal care due to concerns about baby’s size (big) and at around 32 weeks met with a consultant to discuss options (planned section, early induction or no intervention). Pros and cons of each option were explained and then we made a decision to elect for c section. No issues with the request at all.

communication around the section including pre op appointment and timings on the day etc has been pretty dismal and I’ve had to chase up but I’m sitting here on the bed all gowned up so looks like it should go ahead!
