Echogenic bowel at 20 weeks scan. Anyone else waiting for results?

I had my 20-week scan 5 days ago. Everything looked perfect; my little boy's measurements were all good. However, the sonographer told me the baby has a bright bowel, so she needs to refer me to fetal medicine to have a specialist look at it.

I had my scan yesterday, and it has been confirmed that the baby has an echogenic bowel (according to the sonographer, it's a little bit bright).
They took blood from me and my husband, and now we have to wait 2 weeks for the results.

The waiting is killing me. I had some bleeding early in my pregnancy - on the private scan, they found some scars due to stretching of the womb; the sonographer told me it will absorb; it disappeared by the 12-week scan.
I am really hoping that is the reason, but can't help worrying. I have a 2-year-old full-time in nursery, and I never heard of CVM before - I had 2 colds in my first trimester. No high temperature, but one was very strange - extremely sore throat and swollen glands (6-7 week pregnancy). My husband didn't catch this one, which is also worrying me.

I guess I am just hoping for some support. There are plenty of positive stories here on Mumsnet, but the negative outcomes have never been updated, so I am not really sure what to expect.

I had this with DS and it was very worrying but ultimately all fine. We had tests for infection but all negative; declined amnio; had genetic testing for CF, which was ok. It must have been the bit of bleeding I had in the first trimester. It was looking normal by about 28 weeks I believe.

Thank you!
I had a small haematoma earlier in pregnancy- they told me about it on a private scan at 8 weeks- my body absorbed it as I had no bleeding and it dissapeared by the 12 weeks scan.
I am really hoping that is the explanation for the bright bowel!
