Rocker Bottom Feet

Hi,

Had my 20 week ultrasound the other day, they said babies heart, brain and organs were great. They then noticed he looks to have rocker bottom feet and club foot, but that babies can turn their feet like that in the womb.

Next day we got a call saying that they want to check for Edwards and Pataus and now I'm terrified. Has anyone else's baby had rocker bottom feet and not had one of these conditions?

I don't know what to do, I'm devastated

Sorry you're going through this.. We had the same when we had our little one. The tests for Edwards and Patau's syndrome are pretty standard and it's the doctors trying to be thorough. They also did mri scans and weekly ultrasounds to check on progress. In terms of clubfoot it is treatable via ponseti with boots and bars. Takes time and children cope it it. Our little one also had tendon transfer. She'll be 10 next year and does lots of sport. I would just say to trust the doctors and see how it goes. Our story is here in this thread:

If you're in London we found the Dragon centre in Tooting to be amazing and the care we got from Kings College was exceptional.

Hope it goes well and best wishes going forward.
