Pregnant first month after stopping pill

I had a scan the other day that showed I was 2 weeks behind what I should be at 6.5 weeks pregnant. They said I could have my dates wrong. It was the first month ttc after stopping my pill.

I just wondered if anyone has got pregnant the first month since stopping and experienced something similar? Dates being wrong or baby not growing as fast as they should?

It’s likely you ovulated late. I conceived first month after taking out the coil but I was tracking ovulation so I know when I conceived. My supposed dates and the date I know from tracking ovulation was almost 3 weeks different. It can take a while for cycles to return to normal when coming off contraception.

@PickledScrump I was tracking ovulation as well, but once I got a positive I stopped tracking. I then tested positive 10 dpo so I don't think it could be that I ovulated again later on. The only bit of hope I'm holding on to is that it's growing more slowly or something. I don't think that's probably possible though.

@UrsulaSings123 my first was measuring almost 2 weeks behind at the 12 week scan. Which would have meant I conceived the same time I got the positive test which obviously isn’t possible. I never had any explanation of why but she’s now 12. She is mildly SEN but absolutely fine. So it is possible.

At that gestation it’s literally millimetres
