Mucus plug loss at 30 weeks

So I’m 30 weeks pregnant. I seem to have lost my mucus plug this morning. Sorry for too much detail - dark brown jelly like lump?
I phoned the midwife and she said she’s not overly concerned.
what does losing this actually mean? Does it mean labor could start anytime? Has anyone lost it at 30 weeks before? I’m just worried I feel I’ve lost it a bit early?
just want some advice and info. Thank you x

Hiya, its also my first pregnancy and not too sure about things myself. Id reccommend calling triage tho and see what they say? They might call you in to check over etc.
