Boot space for prams - Nissan Juke

Hi everyone, I was just wondering if anyone with a baby has a Nissan juke and if so what is it like for boot space/fitting the pram and shopping in /family days out etc?
Expecting my first baby in June and need a bigger car, been to look at a Juke today but just unsure. Any advice would be much appreciated, thank you 😊 x

My husband has a juke and it is terribly small- we couldn't fit a pushchair in it and with the isofix car seat in the back you can barely fit your legs in the front (and I am 4ft 11!). Much smaller than the fiesta I had!

Hi @Tinkerbell1998

Currently have a 7 month old and drive a Juke and I wouldn’t recommend it at all. Boot space is incredibly small and the car seat in the back actually leaves whoever is in the passenger seat with very little leg room. Personally we’ve been looking at estate cars with much bigger boots as I’ve found a lot of these small SUV type cars aren’t actually very roomy at all! Hope that’s some help! X

@Sophie3003 @raevans Thank you both very much, that’s very helpful 😊 Going off what you have said I think I will give the juke a miss and look for something else more practical! Xx

The mazda cx3 has a better boot. Still not massive but bigger than the juke

My mum had a Juke and the boot was awful, we thought about buying it off her when she was upgrading and didn't because of this. MIL's Qashqai was also disappointing for a car of that size.

Iirc, the Kia Sportage and Hyundai Tucson (same car) had the biggest boot in the Qashqai class. Bigger than the Juke but not enormous either.

I had a Juke and 2 kids and it was way too small. Little boot space and shopping had to go on the back seat as it wouldnt fit. DS would get his hands in it all. He could also pull DDs hair if she sat in the front. Back seat passengers strangely often got car sick. I took it back and swapped for a Qashquai which I love.

I have a Juke and got the pram/buggy in it with ease! Only one kid though and now she's 3 I want to get a smaller car as it's a bit like driving a tank 😀

I don't have kids and have just bought a juke I find the boot good. I have lots in and out of it due to my job. Are people using the full depth of it? As when I got mine the floor of the boot was raised up so massively reducing the size of it.

Sophie3003 · 07/02/2024 19:18

Yes we are using the full boot and capacity is a 1/3 of the size of the fiesta. Plus inside with the car seat is terrible. Expecting baby number 2 so am now going to get a Vauxhall Grandland so everyone has space/legroom and we can actually fit stuff in the boot!

Graceandfury · 07/02/2024 19:34

I've got one. It's pretty but an awful car.

YouAndMeAndThem · 07/02/2024 19:36

I have the Qashqui which is fiiine for boot space with the buggy but it's not great! We had a Hyundai Tucson before the Q which was better!

If you like Nissans, a Nissan Pulsar is not a cool car but drives well and has a huge boot / rear leg room considering the size of the car.

Nat6999 · 07/02/2024 19:42

I had a Seat Ibiza when ds was a baby & managed a travel system & shopping in the boot. Would your pram fold small enough to slot behind the driver's seat in the Juke to leave the boot free for shopping? You may be better off looking at a non SUV car, something like a Skoda Oktavia has a good sized boot.

mummyh2016 · 07/02/2024 20:46

I used to have a juke, with baby number 1 I could slot the pram behind the drivers seat (M+P Ocarro) leaving the boot free for shopping. When my second was born it was clear 3 days in this wouldn't be manageable so got a Kuga instead.
