Hives in early pregnancy

Hi,

I’m just after a little bit of reassurance from anyone that’s had hives in the first trimester and went on to have a healthy pregnancy.

A couple of years ago in my first pregnancy, I had hive at around 5 weeks, which sadly ended in MMC.

Then, I had a successful pregnancy with a healthy baby girl, and I didn’t have any hives in the first trimester, but I did get some in the second trimester, although it wasn’t much at all.

I’m now pregnant again, 6 weeks, and have a lot of hives, so I’m feeling really anxious.

Hi, I came here with the same question, did your hives go and is everything ok? 🙏

@Geo241
Hey,
The hives appeared for 2 evenings and completely disappeared in the daytime. I was absolutely covered all over and couldn’t stop the scratching. By day 3 they just didn’t appear. Since then, I’ve had a few itches and a lone hive here and there but nothing major at all.
I’m 19 weeks this weekend, and the pregnancy seems to be going smoothly so far with nothing being flagged in my scans or midwife appointments. I did find out that this baby is another girl so perhaps it’s the hormones of a girl that I react to.
Sending and MN hug to you x

Thank you for coming back to me! So glad everything is going well and they didn’t last long 🙏 I’ve had them for 2 weeks, hoping they’ll be on their way out soon! X
