14 weeks pregnant - is everything ok?

I had my 12 week scan last week and since then the minimal symptoms I had have eased. My ‘bump’ is also smaller. The only new symptom seems to be increased watery discharge (TMI).

I know there is no way of knowing without another scan but does this sound normal?How do others cope with the wait between scans?

The most likely cause for the disappearance of your symptoms is because around this time the placenta takes over. You also didn't really have a bump, early in pregnancy you get bloated due to the surge in hormones and a change in discharge can be normal in pregnancy too... if you are very worried though then you could always give your midwife a call

Your bump will have been mostly bloating. Symptoms ease off after the first trimester, your hormones aren't as high. All exactly how you should be progressing

Yeah very normal for morning sickness to disappear! Lucky you! Also as PP said, your ‘bump’ is mostly bloating at this stage.

I haven’t had any sickness throughout, the only real symptom I had was tender breasts. I have read other posts on MN saying that this can happen when the placenta takes over so have to just believe in that. I did call my midwife today but was unable to speak with anyone.

Is this your first? I had no symptoms with my first and didn’t show until 30+ weeks!

@Rosiiee yes my first, I have had two early losses. Hard to believe I can be one of the ‘lucky’ ones with no symptoms but perhaps you are right!

I had the same feelings at that stage in fact still do at 20 weeks. I also had increased watery discharge and my bump seemed to go smaller and squidgy. It's grown and gone harder now so I can only assume previously it was bloating. It is hard waiting, you can get a private scan for reassurance we had a gender scan at 16+5 which was definitely worth it.
