Hello lovely ladies, need some advice.

I am 37 and my AMH is 0.6.
I had first chemical/natural miscarriage in 6th week...it was PUL. June '23

I got pregnant in Nov'23, again PUL which eventually turned out to be ectopic pregnancy and had to remove left tube...Dec'23

In both instances, I got pregnant in 1st cycle itself.

Now I am confused, if I should try naturally or go through IVF or there exist a treatment to avoid future pregnancy losses ?

Wondering if problem with the egg quality leading to pregnancy losses?

It’s been a long time since I went through it (10+ years) but I also had 0.6 AMH at age 30. I’m not a medically trained person in anyway but I ended up starting a process for IVF and I remember some things that might be helpful to you.

Yes… low AMH means the chance of you releasing a fully mature egg is reduced. Even if you conceive the egg quality could be reduced leading to miscarriage.

There could very well be medical advances beyond this now but sharing my experience in the hope it’s helpful.

after my AMH result I wanted to jump on the with IVF straight away. My doctor was very good and refused to take me for IVF straight away until I had taken a course of DHEA for three months prior to starting IVF. He said it would increase chances of successful IVF. This was a world class fertility clinic so I trusted what they advised. He was adamant it would make a huge difference. at the time it wasn’t approved in the UK (I think it is now) and we managed to get it from the states. I took it for three months and without a word of a lie I fell pregnant naturally and realised before I went in for egg retrieval for IVF. I put it down to DHEA. I then went on to have a healthy baby… only to fall pregnant again naturally within a short time period, this time with twins. Again I put it down to DHEA. It’s now known as a fertility hormone and comes with side effects which should be read up on but I can honestly say this is the reason I conceived naturally and have a very complete family with three preeteenagers now. Good luck and sorry for you losses

@Lifeisapeach Thank you for your response. That's indeed helpful. I will check this option. I am trying to seek some private help. Just wanted to ensure exploring all possibilities to prevent future losses.

@Muffin4455 I had AMH 1.54 pmol/L and AfC 7 when I tested at 38. I'm 40 and have had 3 miscarriages in the last year all at about 6 weeks. I had all the testing for recurrent miscarriage and nothing abnormal. I seem to get pregnant very easily. I also spent a lot of money on pregnancy monitoring and had all the drugs thrown at me by argc in my last (natural) pregnancy but still miscarried at 6 weeks. There was no indication for all the drugs but they seem to have a throw the kitchen sink at it approach. It made no difference.

I am now 23 weeks pregnant after a natural conception. The only drugs I took were progesterone as soon as bfp and aspirin from about 8 weeks. The low AMH and miscarriages wasn't going to be helped by IVF and it was just case of trying again. IVF helps with getting pregnant but if you're managing that it will just be a waste of money.

Over the last few years I've taken all the supplements from it starts with the egg. I tried DHEA maybe for a month before with this pregnancy, no idea if it was that or luck. I also cut back on alcohol a bit

And sorry to hear your previous journey...these things are so unpredictable and hard to understand. I have been trying now for few months but no luck so fingers crossed!!
It's interesting to know the role of AMH..this is sheer luck and gods gift I feel like after my experience honestly.

@Marj84 btw I ended up with left tubal pregnancy and had to go through surgery. All good now...it's been 6 months now. Have been trying but looks like it has impacted fertility.
