So i am 38x5 and being induced early on 39 weeks due to gestational diabetes. Tuesday afternoon i started feeling my first episode of contractions which were 12 minutes apart and not too painful. Around thursday friday they returned and turned into 5 minutes apart, lasting a minute, for about 12 hours so i went into l&d.. right as i get on the hospital bed.. ZERO CONTRACTIONS. They magically stopped

so i got sent home and two days later the contraction pain was so unbearable i went back in, doctor preferomes a cervical check and was shocked that the babies head was super duper low( she could feel the head) and said she could not even reach my cervix since the babies head was covering it? How does that make sense!

today i am feeling unimaginable amounts of pressure down there and have been crying all morning, went back to l&d and two nurses advised me to take tylenol and rest, and that ‘ the OB probaly cant do anything for u in terms of pain, and our monitor isnt showing any contraction acitivty so your not in labor’’ .. ladidies what should i do? I walked out of that hospital crying with severe pressure and signed myself out cuz i thought i was being neglected to badly and would rather just see my OB tomorrow..

should i be concerned??

It’s rubbish and I’m so sorry you’re in pain but there’s nothing they can really do! It’s awful I understand but they physically can’t give you anything more than paracetamol when not in hospital and can’t admit you. Labour is hard work and can last a long time but it’s the easiest pain to forget, try to keep positive. It’s better to be in your own home than in hospital. What do you want them to do?

It's appalling that they would send you home like this. Hope you're not alone/ driving yourself. Your baby is almost out, I don't understand why they wouldn't tell you what to do to induce labour, like certain positions.
I'm so sorry you're going through this, it's unforgivable!!

Well i would like atleast a propper cervix check so i can see if im dialted or exactly how low her head is!! Last time the doctor who told me her head was low was like ‘ im not gonna even bother with a cervical check i cant reach since the babies head is in the way’ .. im totally fine with pain.. i dont need any meds i just want to ensure baby is safe and im not gonna deliver at home! Ive been having pressure down there since 32 weeks and been dealing with it.. but this one that started today is intense and happening in intervals. . I feel like the nurses are tired of seeing me at l&d but they dont understand that im term and anything can be happening and not to generalize first time moms.. every body is different!
