Period is late, however negative test?

Period is now late, no sign of my period. Have been having period like cramps for a couple of days, I have all the symptoms of early pregnancy, sore boobs etc, however pregnancy test is negative. My period is never ever late. Any ideas?

How late is your period? Sometimes it can take a few days after your missed period to show up on a pregnancy test if you are pregnant.

But there could be other reasons for a missed period other than pregnancy: stress, weight loss etc.

I’d take another test in a few days to see.
