Clearblue weeks still 2/3 - have I miscarried?

Hi,
Hoping for some advice/help -
I tested over a week ago and came up as 2-3 weeks, but it's still showing up the same now.

I know they're not super accurate but is it likely I've miscarried and HCG declining?

I know from posts here can go either way with this, but additional factors: I miscarried just in October, does this increase chance again?
How important is dilution? I had a pee in the night about 3.5 hours before test.

Would EPU run a blood test on request or anything? I've not even self-referred yet though.

Thanks!

Hey OP,

How many weeks do you think you should be? Because if you were 2 weeks a week ago, you’d be 3 weeks now, so still in 2-3 weeks. Does that make sense?

A previous MC won’t impact likelihood of another MC (1 in 4 pgs miscarry) but of course if it becomes a pattern you should seek intervention.

Peeing in night won’t affect dilution. Drinking a pint of water will.

Gently - you need to take a breath and wait this one out. Test in another few days.

These tests are evil and should really be banned. If you Google enough about it you'll see absolutely loads of people never get the 3+ and babies are fine. The test itself is not an indication of anything either way ❤️ it's definitely not an indication of HCG declining.

Unfortunately I don't think the EPU will run bloods just because you're nervous and won't even usually scan unless you have any heavy bleeding or intense pains. Which is annoying but hopefully also reassuring if they don't think you need to be seen. In my area you can't get seen by the EPU before 7 weeks and they won't do that without a doctor or midwife referral.

It's such a worrying time and I know it's distressing to have no answers and no certainty. Right now you're pregnant and that's the only thing you can know for certain. Try to distract yourself. The likelihood is it will be absolutely fine and if it isn't, there's really nothing we can do to change it (this is what I have to tell myself 100 times a day when I'm panicking). Fingers crossed the weeks between now and whenever you first have a scan fly by 🤞

Thanks @ClipOnEarrings and @IVFKinster - I'll try hold on and just wait instead of constantly retesting. I think I'm only 5w2d today so maybe still bit early and also could've ovulated late.

I didn't realise EPU won't see before 7weeks unless bleeding. I guess it makes sense though, they're not going to see me b/c I'm worried about a Clearblue result Grin
Just hoping better outcome than last time xx

It’s so stressful OP! Crossing everything for you! X

@helenv679 I think EPU criteria for being seen might vary by area so if you have any scary symptoms (minus the clear blue test being a pickle 😊) then don't let my response put you off contacting your local one if you need to/want to at any point. Take one day at a time and be kind to yourself!
