Lie down
Get comfy
Baby wakes up - starts to stretch and kick
Uncomfy
Move
Heartburn
Prop up slightly
Try and get comfy
Mind starts wandering - I have got so much to do before baby arrives
Comfy
Dropping off... dropping off...
I need a wee
Back in bed
Husband has migrated in the 2 minutes I was out of the room
Reclaim my side of the bed
Bump discomfort bump discomfort bump discomfort
I can hear mice in the ceiling
I have got so much to do
Quick - put "ask pest control guy about skirting boards" on the notepad by the bed so I can forget about it now
Get comfy
Kick kick stretch ouch
MY HUSBAND IS BREATHING ON MY FACE
I am not moving - I am comfy. The things are on the list. Forget about the list.
Has anyone ever breathed so much in my face ever?
My daughter is coughing - first 24 hrs, still early days - 50/50 chance if she is going to fight this one off. Please please please...
I need a glass of milk - this heartburn is horrendous but don't want to wee again.
Thirsty thirsty thirsty thirsty.
Fine - a little milk. Does it even help with heartburn or is that a myth? I don't know.
Comfy. Eyes closed. Husband rolled over. Here we go - I reckon I will sleep now.
Daughter looming over me suddenly - bad dream? Cuddle? She is upset because the YouTube kids microphone (search feature) didn't understand her earlier and now she thinks it's not understanding her on purpose. Mummy will look at the microphone tomorrow. I'm sure it's all going to be fine. Nothing to worry about.
Escort back to her room.
Pre-emptive wee just in case
Relocate DH to his side again - if he could just breathe another way!
Ah comfort comfort comfort!
Ah pants - not supposed to lie on back.
Move to left side
Tomorrow is "take your favourite fruit to school day" (or something equally ridiculous). Is that on the list? Of course it is. No need to check.
My word, baby brain has been so much worse this time.
Yes it is on the list.
I am going to write a mumsnet post about this. This is absolute madness.
Gosh, I am so lucky.
I am awful for feeling so grumpy.
Count your blessings.
Is it 'White Christmas' where there’s that song about counting blessings instead of sheep?
Oh hello baby there you are again! I am going to be grateful and not grumpy...OW!
Don't touch the phone to write this down form posterity - awful for needing to sleep. Bad idea bad idea bad idea.
I could just jot it down.
Then I'll sleep, right?

Milk makes heartburn worse OP!

Whaaaaaaat?!?! Oh rats.... I was sure I'd heard that milk was alkaline so neutralised the acid!

Fortunately I fell asleep at 2:30am and other than 1 quick loo trip and 1 brief cuddle with DD, I slept through. I did get a few hours so am feeling human at least!

It never ceases to amaze me that some people function on so little sleep all the time!!! And even thrive - they just don't need it! I was going nuts last night (as you could tell haha!)

My ds is nearly 9 and is a terrible sleeper, so is dc3. It’s very difficult to live on very little and very broken sleep 😴

Glad I'm not the only one!
It won't be forever 💐
Thanks for messaging back to my inane rambling anyway- made me feel a little less mad and alone! 😊
