Hi,

Didnt know if anyone had a carrier recommendation for a Velcro baby? Doesn’t want to be put down.

struggling to find too many that are suitable for her yet as she’s only 6lb6 and want to use it ASAP

Thanks!

Try a sling/stretchy wrap. They can take a bit of practice to wrap but there's loads of videos.
I used one with both mine when they were young and they were brilliant, didn't change to a structured carrier until they were a bit older.
Both mine were Velcro babies, my 13 month old still is at the minute so he still often has carrier naps.
You could try a sling library if you wanted to try some out first

I used a baby Bjorn mini from birth. My baby was 8lb but checked and starting weight is 11kilos so your baby is in range.

I really liked mine and got a felt material one as it felt like the baby was really close to me ( there isn't a lot of material between you and baby and it's super quick to put on.

I went through loads as I needed to be out walking the dog and couldn’t find one that was simple enough for me to use and I felt happy with I honestly spent a fortune 🤣

Ended up going to Motherrucker (she offers online consults now) told her what I needed and she found the most amazing Cartier which we all love!!

maybe see if you have a sling library near you and can go and try some…… we don’t have one so hence going to the above!!

I would search out your local.sling library and have a consultation/rent a few. Could stop you making an expensive mistake.

Fwiw, I liked the soft close caboo for the initial months but swapped to an ergobaby 360 mesh (and a baby wearing coat)after that as we needed something more robust.
