Hi ladies. I am having my right ovary removed soon as I had a tumor grow (non cancerous) but better to remove my ovary incase any regrowth apparently. I really want to conceive as soon as possible, so i will ask my options whether it’s best to wait after a pregnancy to remove the ovary. Anyway any positive happy stories on falling pregnant with one ovary? Thank you 💖

Yes, I had one partially removed for the same reason (so only really have 1.5).

I've been pregnant 3 times, always within 3 months of trying, so it's not affected my fertility at all. However pregnancy hormones can cause ovarian tumours to grow more quickly, so I'd suggest having it removed before TTC to avoid complications while you're pregnant.

Thank you. That was my exact question, whether I should have it removed or not before TTC. I hope they can do the surgery soon as possible as really want to start trying after my miscarriage which just happened! Thanks for the response x

Sorry to hear you've been through that 💐Best of luck! X

I'm sorry to hear about your miscarriage. I have a friend who had an ovary removed in her early 20s and went onto have two successful pregnancies several years later, both conceived pretty quickly. I hope your treatment goes well and wishing you a speedy recovery.
