I was hospitalised last week for 6 nights after going in for reduce movement.Turns out both our heart rates were high & I was running a fever.I was treated with iv fluids antibiotics & paracetamol over the course of few days then put on to oral antibiotics. It was a viral infection and we didn’t really find out what it was but I’m left with a horrid chesty cough at the moment & so drained. I haven’t been sleeping well for months due to spd pains through the night so it’s been one thing after another.

Being 35 weeks it has completely swiped me and I’m concerned about my energy levels ahead of Labour and delivery - iron is low but being treated with supplement.

Any tips on boosting energy levels as much as possible? Eating lots of fruit and veg as usual & plenty of water but I am just so exhausted!

Oh poor you! I caught DS1’s vomitting bug whilst pregnant but I was only about 6 weeks, so can’t imagine how you felt running a temp and feeling nasty at near full term!

You likely still have a few weeks until the labour, so try to get as much rest as possible. Drink a good amount of water and eat well.

My first was a very long labour but honestly, adrenaline takes over.

My best advice would be to ask family/friends to kindly cook you some freezable meals in preparation for those first few weeks post partum.

Hope you feel better soon - try to soak up these last few weeks! X
